Puisi Hujan : Abimardha Kurniawan

terdengar suara hujan mematuk punggung jalan, terakota atap, selaput daun, dan tik-tok detik terbantun. cahaya pun murung, langit muram gagal mengumpan bianglala dari lubuk cuaca

“aku rindu mati, aku rindu papan namaku kau paku di punggung pintu. seperti engkau hujan — aku selalu menunggu luruh di pelataran”

"terdengar suara hujan menginjak rumput taman, lantai trotoar, meniti kawat-kawat menjalar: seakan pekik mualim memanggil, membujuk bujang datang berlayar

“aku rindu ombakmu, aku rindu bahasa laut yang fasih mengucap maut. hujan, kau gurat sungai, kau jadikan jalan, atas temali cinta antara hulu dan muara. hujan, ciptakan laut di atas dunia biar manusia bersua hakikatnya”

terdengar suara hujan menjentik di air kolam, gigil kerikil, dan bebatuan yang mengulum diam — mungkin juga mengulum dendam"

How To Shoot Fireworks with DSLR

Hey peeps!,

Ramadhan kembali, kini sudah masuk Ramadhan ke 11.. Pasti ramai ingin merakamkan gambar bermain bunga api.. Di sini ada beberapa tips menangkap gambar bunga api yg ingin dikongsikan bersama.

Many people do not have a clue on shooting fireworks. I was that many people until recently. Just want to share some tips with you guys on how to achieve the nice results.

Equipment requires;
1. a DSLR camera.
2. a tripod (the heavier the better)
3. Remote Release (Optional)

Other requirements;
1. Good location
2. Or good friends to book a very good location for you (I prefer this one :) )

Pre settings
1. change to manual focus mode.
2. put the lens focus to infinity
(with these two done, you will not loose time from camera searching for focus)
3. put on Manual Exposure mode.
4. with ISO 100, I recommend Shutter speed = 6-8 seconds and Aperture = F6-F8
5. mount your camera to the tripod and make sure it's steady.
6. if you know where the fireworks are going to be then, aim at that location.

Shooting
1. your ears will be your eyes. once you hear the shooting noise press the shutter release or use your remote. If you are further away then, you might need to time your shoots
2. leave your camera until it's done expose. (6-8 sec as you program it). For the first few shots you might need to re-adjust your position quickly, also quickly check the results and adjust the aperture value.
3. if there are a lot of big fireworks in the middle of your shots, you might need to use your lens cap to close the lens for awhile, the picture might turn up Over exposed.
4. again, hope for the best.

Mood Study | “Memory Card Locked”

Hey peeps!

The above mentioned error message appears each time you try to access the pictures stored in your damaged memory card. This error message reflects that your memory card is corrupted and restricts you from accessing the data stored in it. Thus if you want to retrieve all you memory card data you first need to fix the error problem.

To fix Memory card locked error you can follow the given steps:

1.Eject the memory card and reinsert it into the camera
2.Rub it with a clean cloth and insert it again
3.If the problem persists then use the same memory card in another digital camera
4.Format the memory card

After formatting the memory card you may loss all the images stored in it. Therefore it is recommended to create a backup file so that you can restore the lost pictures from backup file. If there is no backup file available then the only option left with you is to use third party Memory card recovery software. Numerous memory card recovery software are available in market. You can select any one among them to recover the lost pictures of your corrupted memory card. The software recovers the lost pictures and also resolves error problem related to it.

Repost | Mood Study : Apa itu ISO #1

Tips: setting ISO yang sesuai mengikut suasana

Tips And Tutorial

Repost | Mood Study : Beginner Guide - Landscape #1

Hey peeps!

Mari kenali cara untuk beginner dalam menentukan angle yang patut digunakan dalam mengambil gambar.. sumber dari : Photography School .. jom bersama belajar ~

1. Diagonal Lines
Using diagonal lines can be a very effective way of drawing the eye of those viewing an image into it and to the main focal point.
The ‘lines’ need not be actual lines – they could be the shape of a path, a line of trees, a fence, river or any other feature in an image.

2. Triangle Composition
Perhaps the most common and easiest way to do this is to use a ‘triangle’ shape between objects in an image with three objects in a frame positioned with one to each side and one more central.
Using Geometric Shapes in this way isn’t something that I’ve done a lot of – but it is one technique to get balance in a shot and if you’re clever, to lead the eye into it (in a similar way to the diagonal lines rule above).

3. Rules of Thirds
Position key points of interest in a landscape on the intersecting point between imaginary ‘third’ points in an image and you’ll help give your image balance and help those focal points to really capture attention.

4. Framing Images
While adding points of interest to a foreground is an important technique for adding interest to landscape shots – a similar technique is to ‘frame’ the shot by adding interest to other parts of the edges of an image.
Perhaps the most common way of framing a landscape shot is to include an overhanging branch in the upper section of a shot. Similarly framing a shot with a bridge might work.

Rules are made to be Broken?

Of course while knowing the rules can be important – knowing when to use them and when to break them is a talent that great photographers generally have.
Practice these techniques – but don’t get so worked up about them that they kill the creativity that you have.
Let me finish with a quote about Rules of Photography from Photographer Edward Weston to help give us a little balance on the topic:
“To consult the rules of composition before making a picture is a little like consulting the law of gravitation before going for a walk. Such rules and laws are deduced from the accomplished fact; they are the products of reflection.”
